I would just pretend that everyone in the audience is wearing undies and I would think to myself that it will be over soon and to just get it over with.

I really need help! I’ve been struggling with this for several years, now coming at the climax, and I’m finally realizing that it is actually a fear of disapproval.
I hate it! It fences me in so much! It interrupts my life. I make myself suffer because I’m too afraid to speak up. It feels like this is ruining my life. I cry just about everyday because this is getting to me.
How can I get over this? Please help! Thanks in advance. :)

How do I get over my fear of Public Speaking?

I have to make a presentation in front of my Foods Class next Thursday, and I’m going to be up for about 20 minutes. I really strongly dislike public speaking, and I was wondering what some tips to get through this were..?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I hate being in front of lots of people, even a small group. It always feels like I’m saying something stupid and people are starring when they aren’t. I can’t even talk to some family members with reevaluating everything I said. I can’t look people in the eye, never could. And this “little” issue I have has prevented me from doing a lot of things, like meeting new people and speaking up in class and soooo much more. How can I get over that?

Why can’t I get over my public speaking fear?

I’ve had to speak so many times and I still can’t get over it. Any suggestions?

Most newscasters and public speakers bob their heads up and down and side to side very unnaturally when they speak. Where do they learn this very annoying and uncomfortable task? and Why?

I have very rarely had anyone do this when talking to me. None of my teachers have ever done this weird phenomenon.

Today I had a presentation in class and I felt like I was going to pass out because of my nervousness. When I got up there, I stuttered and looked like a fool. But to be honest I’ve noticed that actually going up there isn’t the worst part. The worst part is thinking about how your going to look up there and sitting in your chair looking at other people present. Looking and waiting for my turn makes me more anxious. And the hardest part is getting up from your chair and getting up in front of the class NOT actually saying the presentation. I just need courage. How can I get over being so nervous about such a petty little thing?? I have to do another one on friday so I was thinking volunteer first so I can get it over with and not be more anxious by waiting for my turn.
Breathing doesnt work and dont tell me to practice what Im going to say. I already do that.
